The NHS is working with patients and carers and other organisations to improve standards of care so that wherever you live or whichever hospital you go to you can expect the same quality of care.
You may want to find out about the standards:

National standards of care for people with specific types of cancer are being produced for England and Wales by the National Institute for Clinical Excellence (NICE) as Improving Outcomes Guidance. Copies can be obtained from the NICE website: www.nice.org.uk In Scotland standards of care are produced by NHS Quality Improvement Scotland. Visit www.nhshealthquality.org
